Round 3 Awardees

The Green Innovation Vouchers scheme marked its first anniversary with a ceremony at Hotel Metropol Palace in Belgrade. In its first year the EBRD-run scheme received 108 applications in 3 calls and supported 29 projects with vouchers worth a combined €435,000.

In the openning remarks, Zsuzsanna Hargitai, EBRD Director for the Western Balkans; prof. dr Viktor Nedović, State Secretary at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development; Filip Abramović, Assistant Minister for Waste Management; and Katarina Obradović Jovanović, Assistant Minister for SMEs, once more stressed the scheme importance for increasing competitiveness through development and implementation of green innovations in enterprises as well as sustainability of the scheme and similar ones in Serbia.

During the ceremony, eight new companies were awarded vouchers worth in total €135.000 for their green and innovative projects approved by the EBRD in the third round.

The EBRD has moved into a new phase of the scheme which will target projects with larger resource-efficiency impact, and increased the value of the vouchers up to €50,000. A new call for applications for mega vouchers is open from 29 November 2018. Interested SMEs should submit the application form in cooperation with their selected R&D service providers to inovacionivauceri@ebrd.rs.
